The first Caveman Cave video aired and reached 600 views on YouTube!
We created the backing track years ago using an old Line6 TonePort and an Ibanez RG series guitar. The drums were created using a plugin, and tuned to match that typical Morrisound vibe found on the original Sepultura track.
The star of the show has got to be the fretless bass, which is a modified Dean Custom Zone Nuclear. New paintjob, EMG P pickups, and conversion to fretless all done by Joe from J-Axe / Evil Invaders. The tone you are hearing is a blend of the DI signal and the BOD plugin v3.0 by TSE audio (which you can find here https://www.tseaudio.com/software/tseBOD).
My go-to sound for bass is an impulse response from what I believe to be an Ampeg 4x10, mic'ed with a U87. The combination of these two legendary components simply does it for me! Unfortunately, I am not sure if this free pack is still available on the internet.
Enjoy the video, and let us know if you need this sound for your project!
